Maybe if you said where in essex you were, someone could advise? Otherwise try a dealer in the MCN...if they're in the south east most of them will deliver! Generally they would charge you for that but most will throw it in for free if get other stuff with the bike. I've seen a fair few deals in the MCN today. Have a look.

I bought mine from Alpha Motorcycles in Leigh-on-sea... They threw in a new set of dogbones for lowering it (free) AND did the work for free.

Yep, can recommend Alpha too. Been fine for everything. Of course, they suffer with the over priced service costs like all main dealers...

if you are part-ex'ing then you'll be hard pushed to get a good deal from Alpha (like most main dealers to be fair!) , but if you are buying cash then they general are competative.

Watch out if you get finance, the boss assured me the rate was 7% and I asked him if that was APR or flat - which he said it was APR. It wasn't - it was flat rate - 22% APR! So excited about picking my bike up just signed the form and paid it up a couple of months later, but be careful.

Default Dealers?

I live down in Benfleet, but bought my bike from John Pease up in Braintree. Very pleased with the service and got a good deal for cash. Don't bother with their Chelmsford branch, seemed to be full of lads who weren't very interested in what you wanted.

....Only one prob, if you after a new bike you could be out of luck as there don't seem to be many about (I think it's down to the 0% deal that suzuki are doing). Good luck anyway mate - a bloody good bike!

It would seem that we've all had different experiences with the same dealers !!

Personally I wouldn't buy a washer from Alpha's - let alone a bike !! And knowing one of their ex mechanics I certainly wouldn't let them near my beloved SV for servicing or the like.

But, I do rate John's of Romford (London Rd & Rush Green branches) - bought my VFR from London Rd & had nothing but excellent service from them. Rush Green do my servicing work on the SV & again never had any cause to complain.

I guess in the long run you just look for the best deal you can get & then play it by ear.

Don't forget, you don't have to by a bike from a local dealer - my SV was bought from York Suzuki ('cos they offered me the best deal) & it only cost me £50 extra to get them to deliver I to my door. OK, I had to pay for the 600 miles service (normally free on a new bike) but - Big Deal !!

Best of luck
