Default Squeeky front wheel..

After my off last month the bike sat for about a month before moving again. the first time I tried to move it, it seemed quite stiff but seemed to be free up so I assumed it was just from being left.

Now when I am going at low speeds (<10mph) the front wheel seems to squeek a fair bit then stop when the speed rises. I don't think it is the brakes as I don't have the front brake on when it happens. I am just wondering what it could be as I am a little bit paranoid.

Probably front brakes sticking on slightly. You need to take the calipers off and clean the pistons.Make sure they can be pushed back into the calipers after cleaning. This needs doing often, and after bike has stood a while will almost certainly be your culprit.

Is this an easy job for novice mechanic or would I be better getting someone a bit handier to do it?

Ho Ho

My sister heard a squeak when driving her VW Golf(remember that advert?)and found she had mice living in it.Seems they moved in as it was dry and warm, and the local cats could'nt get in.
