i have spoken to my local garage before about this.

i have an undertray fitted to my sv i bought a tail tidy unuversal one for it, which the smller indicators and number plate fitted too but no number plate lightslights

for the MOT they told me they do not need to see a number plate light as it is not specified on bike MOT'S as it is for car MOT's.

but if your original number plate light bulb has blown they just put a note down to say that i don't think that they can fail it on an MOT.

my sv went through the MOT fine apart from i had no reflector on the back end so they put one under the number plate for me.

I MUST INFORM YOU THAT THE INFO ABOVE IS WHAT I WAS TOLD BY MY LOCAL GARAGE SO IT MAY BE TRUE IT MAY NOT I AM SURE OTHER PEOPLE CAN CONFIRM THIS OR CLEAR UP THE WRONGS AND RIGHTS OF THIS TOPIC

just to add. the garage said that if pc plod were in a funny mood they could pull you over for not having a number plate light.

i am waiting for the shop to get some of these in thay are LED plate lights mad by MOTRAX and they look quite small i might get one just to be on the safe side, not too bad for £10 i reckon

I have one of these on my SV Link
I have had it nearly a year now, mine is in chrome, keep lookin on ebay for them same price either colour (chrome or black). They are very bright and very easy to wire in.
