Default same old gear lever out!

I have trouble finding time time to wash my bike at home, so wash it in my lunch break at work.
While cleaning the foot pegs noticed the gear changed pivot has come loose
it was only in by a couple of threads. I have read about this on here before.
I have fixed the problem for now, should I put a complaint in to Suzuki, as it could end up being a fatal flaw in the bike, and if so where to, or is it just one of those things to keep an eye on?

Are you talking about the gear link from the foot pedal? In case put some tread-lock in its tread.

just keep an eye on it. It came off for me at about 4k but never once even came loose after I'd tightened it properly.

Funny, I was just adjusting mine today and it was practically seized. There's a middle ground there somewhere

Ring up Suzuki, the lying ****ers will tell you "first we've heard of that, Sir". In spite of the fact that about 1/3 of K4s suffer this problem.

Mine was falling off but setting it to the correct toruqe in the manual seems to have kept it on.

I noticed when screwing it back in (with thread lok) the peg screws in, the lever then slids on followed by a washer & then the cir-clip.
There needs to be a washer between the lever & the peg, therefore the friction would be reduced & less likely to unscrew.
Have not had time to do this yet, if it happens again I may machine a bit of the back of the lever & fit a washer
but untill that happens, I will just keep an eye on it

& anyway the salt will have corroded the aluminium by then and seezed the peg in
