I know I've done this once before but what's the best way to cut the std exhaust system so I can fit a can on it ?
Decent hacksaw & blades or a "Dremel" (sp) ? . |

I did my with a hacksaw and a car exhaust cutter, if I was doing it again I'd use an angle grinder, its quicker and you dont risk cutting your heel plates

In your aldi store right now is an angle grinder for about 8 quid and they are selling blades too so if you need one now you know. I myself used the dremmel

I had every intention of actually removing the exhaust before cutting it..... I'm sure that's what I did with my curvey....

Steve,...No need to make the exercise more involved than neccesary. A new blade in a junior hacksaw will do the job fine. Ensure the teeth of the blade are angled away from you and so cuts on the forward stroke.
Use a smooth action and once the outer skin has been broken through it gets a whole lot easier. Using this method I managed a perfectly straight, neat cut in about 10 minutes tops. Good luck. ![]() |
