Aldi
Just been to Aldi and u guys know they are offering some bike stuff. Got the maps and the blue/grey/black 2 piece waterproofs. They fit great and are a quality bit of kit for 13 quid. Tank bag looks pretty good too but i am looking for something a lil smaller myself.

I was pretty shocked at how bad the gloves were - tried sizes 8, 9 and 10 and there seemed to be no difference. The stitching was so bad I couldn't get my fingers into some of the gloves - tried 6 pairs and where one would fit, the other wouldn't. Who designed them? Jeremy Beadle? Does he even ride a motorbike?
They seemed alright for casual riding but I wouldn't want to have a crash in them - basically just soft leather, though one set (not all) did have a plastic knuckle protector on. For £12.49 you can't expect much... I didn't bother with the boots (£24.99) after that (also soft, didn't seem to have much in the way of protection)... would rather spend three or four times as much and get something better. Nice to see them catering for low budget riders though - if you're willing to try on a lot of the stuff (or you happen to be Jeremy Beadle - are you reading this Jeremy!?) then there's budget, light use stuff to be had. There was still heaps of stuff left at 5.30pm when I was in there, so it'll still probably be there for a few more days if anyone didn't get there today. |

Yeah, I hear Jeremy Beadle has enough gloves to last him a lifetime now.
