Default Brake lever feel - braided to OEM lines

I know, I know... There's been many a brake line issue..

I've just finished reading the braided lines information in the search and read loads.
The only info. I can't find is (and the regulars will tell me different)..
Can you feel a major difference on lever feel from braided to OEM?

I have a friend who has Goodridges on his Duke and they feel lovely and firm but he does have Brembo calipers too!

I want to change from OEM to Braided.
Just fully bled the system anyway, but wondered on the opinions.

((Apologies if this question been asked numerous times))

I changed mine to Goodridges, but had trouble bleeding them.

They feel a lot sharper, and once I have new pads on them, they will feel awesome on the lever.

My Dad changed his to Goodridges at the same time (kwak zx6r) and the braking now is immense apparently

Thanks Jake. I did read your 'trouble with bleeding' thread on the search, funnily enough!

But by the sounds you think they're better..

If you've trouble bleeding them get a speed bleeding kit from H/G they cost about £30 but well worth the money.

whether you actually feel a difference is debatable (sp?), but every four years you should change OEM hoses, braided you wont have to, i've recently got HEL lines on mine, and my bike a 51 so worth it in that respect

Carl, yeah mines a 51 too. So in that respect, I suppose a change to braided is in order. I'll chuck it through the MOT at the weekend and then go buy..

Default Braided Hoses

There's a guy selling HEL lines on Ebay for £55 including postage.

Agreed. If you are changing to braided hoses and there is nothing wrong with your originals, your not likely to notice all that much difference (if any). If however your lines are deteriorated and old, then there is a possibility that you will have a lot of flex in them when braking hard. Steel lines obviously do not flex, therefore, in this instance, yes, you will feel a lot of difference.
