Ok, i hope you're not de-restricting lol!

Take the tank up, then the whole airbox comes off after removing the 2 breather hoses on the left hand side. The carbs are now in plain sight, all you have to do is loosen the 2 jubilee clips (one on each) and you're away.

P.S, if you are de-restricting, you only have to lift the carbs up a bit and pull the washer out.

yes the airbox comes off with only a littlle pull, you should realy loosen the collars holding it on, i dont.

Under each carb there is a colar that holds them to the air inlet pipes, loosen each one the pull the carbs off. You may have to remove the choke cable (carefull it brakes easly when removing it) the screws are rubish on the carbs, you may also have to unplug the TPS, fuel line & throtle cables. All depends on what you are trying to do.

Carefull, when your turn the carbs on their side fuel will come out of the pipes.

This is from what i remember doing, just be very carefull as you are dealing with fuel. If not sure look in a hayns manual.

Yes sorry I wasn't too clear, this is only applicable to the FI International (or other) carb restrictions.

You would be best off getting a clymer manual if you are going start tinkering with the carbs. If you are feeling cheap, you can get on bikebandit.com and look at their online schematics...... If i remember correctly, once the filter box is off all you have to do is disconnect the throttle cable, the TPS, the choke cable, take the idle adjuster off of its mount and then loosen the clamps holding the carbs to the cylinder and it should come right out

Yeah I re-jetted my carbs, drilled the slides and did the airbox mod from the svrider forums 'tips and tricks' section and it all went off great, use a haynes manual and tips from here and you cant go wrong.

Only thing I did to be extra safe was bought some spare carb screws and general screws, spare o-rings and an impact driver before starting which ensures you dont have to leave your bike in bits for days on end after knackering up this or that screw/o-ring. Sod's law because i'd bought the spare bits it all went off swimmingly and I didn't have to use any bits (halfords do a nice little o-ring kit by the way for about a fiver with just about every o-ring you'll ever need ever in it). Oh and btw impact drivers are awesome, will save you their cost in screws and frustration in no time.

Good luck with it all.
