Default Brembo master cylinder vs. OEM

Physically, how does the Brembo differ from the OEM? I'm looking to get some CRG levers, but have been told they won't fit the Brembo master cylinder I've already bought.

Does anyone know how similar/different they are, and whether or not a "custom" fitment is at all possible?

From what i have herd you are right CRG stuff does not fit and the brembo levers are realy expensive. You could instead just get a MC from a GSXR1000/750 etc which are better and then the CRG will work.

Its about £20 for a brembo (radial) lever, Crg do a lever (I think its them) but it's almost identical to the brembo.

In what way is a GSXR master cyl better than a Brembo?

Woops i wrote it badly, it should have ment that its better than stock and then the CRG & stock levers would be easier to source.

Which Brembo is it? Pazzo do levers for the 18mm radials (but not for the 16mm I have...) but to be honest they're nothing special, not drastically different from stock.

I was once told, that when it came to bikes, you could make any component fit any other bike... so surely if I took the CRG lever and Brembo master cylinder to a specialist customiser like Battistini's, I could get them to work together.

You reckon?

No totally different designs im afraid, the cylinders point in different directions, better to get one off levers made

You could use the Buell "modifying" technique to make it fit... The rules for Daytona allowed modifying standard engine parts, but not building new ones from scratch- Buell modified them by melting them down and recasting them

Rob's right sadly. No easy fix.
