New issue of Ride... Quite funny SV restoration project
I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but Kev Raymond's bought a project SV... Horribly crash damaged, for £1100 pounds! I'm half convinced the feature's conceived as "How not to choose a project bike", because it's either that or he has mice nesting in his brain. 2001, 1500 miles... needs a whole new front end, including all the plastics, forks, wheel, tyre... Needs the rear wheel straightened, new subframes front and rear, new tank to get it right... And from the looks of it, it wasn't well loved before. He doesn't even know if the frame's good yet.
£1100! In an issue devoted to "biking bargains".

Read the SV project. What a numpty!
He bought a crashed bike without seeing it first and the bike has had a smash with a tree! He could have bought a good early SV for the money he has paid and is going to pay Although he said it had R&G crash bungs on it which saved the day. Good advert that...worth knowing that. |

Yep, if it hadn't had the R&Gs the bike would have been completely atomised
