Default London Commuters

Did you like the "Rainbow Roads" this morning... It popped into my head. Especially down the bottom of Shooters hill etc, and as you come off the A2.

The roads were just covered in oil so much so you couldn't actually see the road, just spirals of oil and technocoloured nastyness all over the place.

I rode in like a timid person high on a horror movie set today. Quite scarey. Thats what, week n a hlaf, 2 weeks without rain.

Be carefull out there....

LMAO!

My back end was twitching around as I set off from home this morning, probably because I set off in the same way as I have done for the last 5 days, fogetting that wet = slippery... I don't think I got over 25 mph the rest of the way and when I got my nice warm waterproof textiles off my shirt looked like I shouldn't have bothered wearing them such was the sweat inducing warm of the ride in.

ha ha, well its not looking toooooo warm out there, so not all bad.

I know what you mean though. YEsterday, my zip ended up halfway down (inside zip, got two), my trouser legs got unzipped, all vents open on the bash hat etc....

Got home, still sweating my ass off (this included some jacket pulling out to scoop the cool air in) and i still needed a shower as soon as i got in..... Nasty...

New pants please.

there were certain parts of my ride in today where i could actually not see tarmac for the rainbows.

Anyone have any idea how many "drip spots" per square foot / metre is suffiecient to call it a spill and report it to the powers that be?
I wish i had a vid cam on the bike on days like this, words will never describe the state of some of the roads in london.

Yesterday my shirt was wet, today it was my pants!

The best rear spin had to be in a straight line from the lights as I thought "Strange nutter revving up behind me" followed by "oh, it's me!"
