Default my first 'off' !!!!

Had my first 'off' today !!! Nice big patch of diesel as i braked for the lights ! Bleeding hell me right leg is killing !!! Luckily not much damage to me bike.... my leg and body kinda broke the fall so im chuffed about that !!!

Funny thing is though, my bike fell to my right and scuffed all the fairing but yet the gear lever foot changing thing has snapped !! Must have been my left foot. Not replacing it, just gonna fit my own with a turned piece of ally and screw it together.

Anyone know of anyone who sprays plastics around here..... although i must admit, i think it looks pretty cool all scuffed !!!

Glad your relatively ok.
lucky you saved the exhaust - any secret tips?
sounds like a cheap repair £10 good
Scratches - sounds like Northwind saying as long as they look as if you meant it or something.

"They say" that you smell the diesel before you hit it - is that a load of bo**ox?

hi ash sorry to hear about the spill , i had the spill last month but did the other side .

as for a body sprayer there is a place on lonsdal st in nelson that dose bikes and cars its called lonsdals funney enough, when i took my bike there they give me a quote they said 180.00 to repair and spray apparently the colour in the fairing is in the laquer not in the base coat thats why its so expensive .

i ended up getting a new nose cone for 190.00 delivered and just swapped it over , but they could sort that out for you if you ask a bloke called stev.

so there you go a few options for you mate

the web site is www.lonsdalebike.co.uk
tel:01282 695981

hope this helps stumpy1

Ouch sounds nasty.. someone knocked my bike over at work (which i think i have fractured my kicking the sehelves in rage cause of) and it snapped my gear lever as well..

Clarkes in accy sell new ones for 20 quid and they take about 5mins to fit... as long as you remember the nut goes the wrong way to get it off
