I started an OU Course in Communication Technology a few years back.
I managed one term with it as it requires too much of your time.

I found it was a full time degree course trying to fit in and around your current job.
There was no time to eat, sleep or take a pee

Its great if you have no social life but I found it too much.

Take care to see exactly how many hours the course your looking into is per week and be realistic. I thought I could cope.

Incidently I got top marks for my first assignment which was gutting having to give it up.

Yes, started my Mathematics degree with the OU, it was ace!

You need 360 to complete a Degree, and I think 420 for an honours, but with the honours you need so many at leve 4.

Half courses are 30 points and full are 60.

Bit of advice, Never, Never do two half credits in one year, I did and failed both cos it was just too much work.

Anything else you need to know about the OU, just ask. I've done far too many courses with them until I realised that distant learning doesn't work for me, so I've gone to college!

But saying that I think I only need another 90 points to finish my degree.
