Default K6 Dealer Service Connector : Update

OK, breif history... Nice sunny day outside, so I figured I'd have a crack at the TPS adjustment mod, after looking though, and printing off the guide with pics, I can't find a connector like the one shown.

The only connector I can find, has all 6 pins connected up, and by default has a metal bridge connecting all pins. Using thin wire (aka dealer service mode tool) I've tried bridging the pairs in the connector & turning the ignotion on after each. No joy

It might be worth noting that I also have only removed the pillion seat, not the main seat. That'll be opened for a poke around after lunch.

Does anyone know if the connector and/or location has changed for the K6's? Or possibly they have changed the system all together & I need to give feedback down 1 of the pins etc. So long as I can get the info, I can make up a circuit as required.

Any help given is, as always, greatly appreciated But right now, I'm being shouted at that my lunch is ready

Never mind, found it under the main seat. Looks like it's moved a little compared to the pics. Live & learn

Being picky:

It's not a 'mod', it's an adjustment.

Ain't.

It's returning it to the original setting.

Mark, I didn't get the chance to today due to kids raising the dead, hopefully next weekend. But I'll post to report back anyway. I have lowered the idle speed a little (it was around 1400-1500 ish) & that side of things is now a lot better.

Update to all of the above:

The sun was still shining (to my supprise) so I had the bike out & stripped it down yesterday. This time the kids were off playing with friends, great, plenty of time

After doing the TPS adjustment, I can safely say that the bike feels a LOT better doing slow manovers, perticularly those chicane's on the way out of Rosniger! It also helps on small mini-roundabouts when turning right.

I also decided to try the 'lever angle' mod (:P at Sid). That felt very strange at first, but it has served it's purpose. Before, I would occasionally ride with my fingers over the clutch (anticipation of a gear change etc), but due to natural posture, realized that I was actually pulling the clutch slightly whilst riding along. Not good. Move the brake & clutch levers down a few degrees (so my fingers are in a straight line with my arms when not pulling the levers) and this is now cured It also has the effect of moving the clutch bite point slightly, so as I was coming up the steep bit of path out of the front garden, I managed my first stall

After that I spent the rest of the day playing

Big thanks to those who posted about the above mods, and for those cosindering it, go for it! Just becareful putting those security torx bits in the cheese!
