Default Got my exhaust! Which bit is the baffle?

Got my carbon fibre exhaust. Hooray!

Now: Is the baffle the cone shapped thing in the centre of the picture?

The irony is, thinking about it, I got hte exhaust on Tuesday - bu they sent the wrong one. So I didn't install it. If they had have sent the right one. Then *maybe* the pedestrian would have at least heard my bike, when he stepped out on Wednesday without lookngi, nowhere near a pedestrain crossing. Hmm, maybe I should start to let go.......

Anyways:

Didn't get any instructions that weren't blurred or in Spanish, so if anyone has some cutting directions etc.....

Everything should be fitted outside of the actual can.

So once you've done with the link pipe, hanger strap, jubilee clips etc - anything left over that looks like it may fit inside the can is your baffle. And as previously stated, this should be fitted outside the can, often secured to a shelf in your garage.
Though sometimes positioning under the pillion seat is acceptable and allows for 'Just fell out Officer' plausibility.

Kinvig, that looks a nice can. What is it and how much was it???

Also, is there a small hole in the outlet for fixing a screw/bolt to hold the baffle secure ???

stuartyboy: It came with an a4 photocopy that seemed to be shrunk from an A£ so it was a bit blurry & a bit in spanish!

No instructions on where to cut the existing pipe. I'm guessing 5cm from the weld near the tight foot rest. But I'm going ot email for confirmation.

FGO: I got it from t'interBay £190 all in. Nice exhaust & I can't wait to stick it on my bike...
From what I can see: The baffle goes in the bottom of the can & is held in pleace by the snug fit of the link arm against it. There don't appear ot be any small holes in the outlet for fixing a screw/bolt to hold the baffle secure. but I'm going to ask.

kinvig yes the cone thing is your baffle, i looked at a venom exhaust a few years ago because they are made not far from me and thats the way they baffle there zorts. they call it the tea strainer. just fit your exhaust and leave that bit out
it fits the other end (link pipe end) not the outlet end.

Ah...

Instructions usually help a lot.

I got a fuel can and it was very helpful. The service was impeccable too.

Yes - cut 50mm from the weld.

Question - please tell me you're using a 12 inch bladed hacksaw and not one of those 6inch jobbies that come with cheapo toolkits.
