So what you're saying is, that you want a bike that WILL go round corners?

So if I read you correctly, you're wanting to exchange your naked Gixxer 1100 (sorry my friend - that doesn't make it a streetfighter !!) for an early curvy + £1500 ?

Do you realise that the earliest SV will still be 9 years younger than your GSXR?
The SV is a budget bike, but it's not that budget. Unless your bike is a fantastic specimen with low miles, I reckon most SVs will be a straight swap in terms of value. |

Razor....i'll give you that one, it would be nice.
Supervox.....what 'is' a streetfighter then ?? Carsick.. i have seen several SV'S for around the grand mark, as old as my bike is, it's worth more than a grand, therefore, in my eyes i'm not being unrealistic. |

The Gixxer 1100 is probably the grandaddy of 'fighters. But, most have had 1 or more transplants (frame, front end, swingarm, rear end, etc) as far as I can see from your pics & description yours (which looks VERY clean, neat & tidy by the way) has had the fairing removed, the clip-ons replaced by Renthals & some powder coating done. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not knocking your bike at all - merely questioning your describing it as a streetfighter. If you really want to sell it I would suggest putting an ad in Streetfighter magazine as (for the right price) it would probably appeal to quite a few people who wish to use it as a 'base' for a 'fighter project. Alternatively, you could put the clip-ons & fairing back on whereby it might appeal to the 'retro' crowd. I think you'll be VERY lucky to find someone willing to give you an SV + £1500 - but hey, you never know !!

Think he's looking for a SV + £500 (not £1500) or so.

If you want to sell it try http://oldskoolsuzuki.info they're the well known gixer nuts often mentioned in SF mag.
I once rode a stock GSXR1100L, jumped off my '93 fireblade and swopped with a mate of mine for a short ride. He wasn't pleased when I rode the gixer through a hedge, he was pleased with the 'blade tho ![]() |
