Pollitically correct madness
We've just been given letters telling us that all our job titles are changing because of the new age discrimination laws.
Gone are the titles "Senior" Technical Consultant, "Junior" Technical Consultant etc. Now we are just plain old Tech Consultants, some get "Principle" or "Lead" pre-fixes though, but those are pretty much made up by HR and mean nothing to anyone =/ Worlds gone mad =/ as if anyone would actually sue because they felt discriminated against for being promoted to "senior" this that or the other =/ Hell I'd LOVE to be promoted to senior tech consultant with the pay rise and oppertunities that come with it =/ |

Ridiculous, you can be senior or junior irrespective of age. Sends the message to me that being made senior is a result of time-serving ratehr than skills, which I doubt it ever was.

Ah, this would be along the lines that because of the age discrimination legislation that has just come in, companies are being advised that giving birthday cards to collegues is now against company policy

I'm suing my local education authority. They sent me from a junior school to a senior school when I was only 12. I've been suffering mental anguish because of it ever since, just never realised it till now.
