Rhodes, Greece. [Warning: Involves scooters]

Given the success of my previous holiday related photo post (http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=43539 - 0 replies!) I thought I'd have another go.
Just got back from a last-minute late-season bargain package in Rhodes. Fantastic place! Stayed in Rhodes town which has a charming old town, lively new area, lots of cool bars and plenty things to do. We'd biked to Gatwick and taken our kit with us with the intent of renting a bike. Being late season most rental places had packed their bikes up and just had scooters left, so the best we could do was this mighty 200cc steed:

We'd never ridden a scoot before but didn't find it too bad, very comfy and definetly the best way to find out of the way beaches.

Standard Greek bike gearing is flipflops and shorts so we probably looked out of place in all our gear. Didn't bother us, wasn't that hot and gear can be handy on the beach :

Did some biking in the mountains, the scoots handling is questionable but had power enough for the steepest hills. There are some lovely biking roads there, though many are way bumpy. Why don't SVs have this much under seat space?

Scooter also helped us find this great little fish restaurant in a wee port

and find the best view on the island:

In Rhodes town, a bizarre roundabout outside the hotel (and, er, some fat germans down by the pool):

Lastly, back at Gatwick and loading up the panniers for the way home.

Basic airport parking security :- chain her to a pole, stick on a disk lock, coat with thief repellant muck! So far so good.

That was at 6am Sunday morning after 4 hours interrupted sleep on the flight home. She was a bit non-plussed with me taking a picture, just wanted to get home to bed. I'm surprised she doesn't look more displeased to be fair!
