I don't want to speak too soon or brag knowing most of you are stuck in work, but mine's been bloomin' great so far.
Got up about 8.00am to kiss my girlfriend goodbye as she leaves for work for the day (I'm off all week ![]() When I'm not working, the car is not an option when it's just me travelling and when the weather's this nice so on with the kit and off I go, only to arrive at my mum's and find there's nobody home. Not a problem, I'll call tomorrow; that just leaves me with a full tank of fuel, an uncharacteristically gorgeous November day and plenty of time to kill. It's very, very rare for me to ride during the day unless it's a weekend but today has been an exception and an absolute blast from start to finish. I live in North Wales and the roads truly are made for motorbikes, despite the local police force thinking it isn't ![]() ![]() I won't bore you with the entire route but I've ridden some fantastically, amazingly brilliant roads today (the one that takes you north from Cerrigydrudion past Lake Brenig stands out; just me on my bike, Snowdonia National Park and the RAF - surreal, don't ask!) and can't recall being held up for more than a few moments - even 44 tonne HGV's were helping me out by moving to one side when it was clear to pass (thankfully, caravans are relatively thin on the ground this time of year). Is it always this easy during the day when you're on a bike? I've only held a motorbike license for 4 years and only owned a bike for half that and the enjoyment, excitement and sense of freedom I've experienced today makes me wish I'd started sooner ![]() Hope your day has been as good as mine ![]() ![]() |

Lucky you.
My day has mainly consisted of two very boring meetings. The second one kept me at work an hour longer than normal, that meant that I hit the worst of the traffic. I'd forgotten how much fun filtering through heavy traffic in the dark isn't. Ah well, I'll get dinner started in a minute, chicken jambalaya tonight I think ![]() |

My day consisted of a quick ride to work with the usual amount of filtering.
Accomplished a fair few tasks with minimal interruptions. Rode home without incident. Proceeded to install WoW for the first time. Failed on disk 5 ![]() ![]() Been waiting for an hour for the patch to download...... ![]() |

Rode in and 5 minutes from front door the Norwich Heavens opened up. Cold and wet.
Rain and hail and wind all day. Squeeze flaming on the email from Lynn. But on the positive side, Permie pals at the Union didn't get the bullet in the 4000 chopper redundancy round - so smiles all round. Didn't have the heart to ride bike back to cold yard, so left it in nice warm garage and walked the 20 minutes back home. Only 3 weeks and the contract is OVER and i am headed for the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE where winter is only a rumour. Back in April. Now that will be a gooooood day. ![]() |

Sorry to disapoint but mine was considerably better!!
Was woken at 7 with Paul and the 3 children singing me Happy birthday! Was given a Cup of tea to drink and a bed full of presents including a big box of chocolates, A huge teddy with "Best Mummy in the world" across his t-shirt and a big gift box of Dove accessories. Kissed Paul goodbye at 7.30 and got up. Came down a picked up a couple of cards from the mat that the postman had delivered. Took the kids to school and then came back to meet my 2 best friends who came in for lunch. They brought with them 2 big boquets of flowers and a big box of cream cakes! We then went shopping where one of my friends paid for me to get my tongue pierced! ![]() Came home after picking the kids up from school. Then in the evening I had my entire family (Mum, 3 sisters plus sister-in-law + thier children) bombard me bringing with them a big birthday cake singing Happy birthday to you! Went to bed at 10.30 knackered and with my tongue swollen but boy what a GREAT day I had!! ![]() ![]() |
