Default Do you know of a classier alternative to bar muffs?

Over the years I have seen various folk who have rigged up wind deflectors to stop the full force of the wind hitting their hands in winter. Some looked like they were plastic or alloy borrowed from off road bikes. Does anyone know of something to do this that would fit pointy clip on bars? (that wouldn't look too horrible)...

You could try going with the handle bar grip shield that you get on things like the V-storm, or off-road bikes.

See here: http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...ghlight=guards

I have some on my K3 naked and they help keep my pinkies dry and warm. Coupled with heated grips they are great.

I'm soft!

Hovi5, I can't really tell what that picture is of, but the bright green doesn't look too good

RingDing, there seem to be good suggestions for the naked models, but nothing yet for the 'S' variant.

I'm pretty sure someone on here has fitted them to an 'S' model. You might find it if you do a search. IIRC there was a bit of an issue on full lock, when the guard would touch the instrument surround. That could be resolved I'm sure.

The good thing about the standard Suzuki V-Strom bits is that they fit straight out the box. I like the fact it clips on the end of the bar as well. The ones I had on my Triumph Trophy used to push back onto the levers until I bodged 'em. Only when 'making good progress' though.

Cheers Hovi5, there is some potential there, even if some modification is required.

Keep the suggestions coming!
