right, my 16000 mile service is coming up i have don a search to see how much it will cost
fizz said about £180 but some peeps say upto £350?
but i was just wondering how much peeps paid
i can do most of it myself (i think) but dont fancy the valves(it has been sugested not to bother checking them?)
if i do it myself,i wont get a STAMP dose this matter

Valve clearance check cost me £45 as long as you get a receipt that will be good enough for history and do the rest your self

Erh.. I think you answered your own question in your first post in this thread...

Like you said I paid £180ish for a full service and IIRC £120ish for a minor, but I do get special rates in the dealer I go to...

Personally I wouldnt skimp and I would get the valve clearances checked, even if they are OK at least you'll get peace of mind that they are OK then.

When you say 180 quid for a full service - what would be included in that?

I would IMAGINE basically a minor service but with greasing up certain areas/links/bearings, checking brakes, cleaning them, replacing fluids and oil filter. Valve clearance check but NOT adjustment. Adjustment would eb on top of that I would guess as its a good couple of hours work.

Best just asking.

I was quoted £170 for my last service (3500 miles). I was gobsmacked when I went to pay, and the cute girl working there said it was £97 Maybe she gave me a special discount

Probably not though Some other balls up when quoting me probably.
