Recommend me some armoured jeans/leather trouser alternatives.

I'll be in Europe for the tail end of August and beginning of September and want to be fairly lightweight and cool on the frequent stops. I've seen some jeans, they're £100 with the extra knee protection.

Draggin jeans are a good choice, or us Hein Gericke's should be able to sort you out

Go and see what BMW do. Jeans style and cargopants types thats zip off (like some HG do or used to) and also some warm wetaher stuff. IIRC the cargopants styles were £120 or so.
Ive got some Draggin jeans and I find them hot.

Joe Rocket do a good set of jeans at a reasonable price. For touring however I would recommend Alpinestars Drystars. They are goretex cordura with all the armour and a removable liner. I picked up a set on fleabay for £50 a while back. Cool in the summer - dry and warm in the winter - a good option for touring.

Hood Jeans are quite good however two points to note.

The sizes are rather generous, I rarely wear mine as they are a bit big.
They do get uncomforatble if you wear them off the bike for any length of time, espeac if you leave the armour in.

They do look pretty good though linky
