Default 7.5k service

Took my K5 for a little spin down the M1 on Saturday morning to pay Spanner Man a visit for a service and new fork springs. Was good to get shown stuff and also nice to see someone taking a bit of pride in doing a good job rather than a quick one!

Good service, good banter, and a great price. Thoroughly recommended.

I'll be off to see him in another 1000 miles - am really looking forward to it. he's over 100miles away from me, but if he's half as good as people say - it'll be well worth the ride.

I'm actually considering a ride that way for a service too. I'm a fair bit more than 100 miles away too.

But don't tell Spanner Man, he'll only get an ego

Cheers for puttin this post up gazza cos you`ve just made me realise i`ve only got 400 miles left before the 7500 mile service on my k6. West London suzuki for me as Colin Colins in Harrow damaged my swinging arm on the last service

I bet he let the RHS adjuster rotate with the axle nut, 'cos my local dealer did the same on mine at 4000 miles, and ripped me off on cost. I won't be going back there !

Seems to be a common problem, there have been other posts about it recently

That sounds about right, argued the toss with them but never got anything out of it which reminds me, must blend it out n paint over.

Morning all.
Thanks Gazza, I'm glad your bikes better and that you enjoyed your visit. Despite the fact that it turned into a bit of a madhouse! and I'm sorry for all the bad puns (spring is here, I need a brake etc etc).

It's good to find that people are prepared to come a fair distance for servicing, it was the same when I was down south. Which just goes to show that most bike shops should issue 10 gallon hats to their staff!

Cheers.

P.S. I'm too old to go all egotistical on you lot! (and with no hair and missing gnashers it probably wouldn't do me any good anyway)
