Default Another one bites the dust... (now with piccies)

Yes, i've managed to add myself to the dubious and ever growing list of orgers to be punted off.

Hit the front of a Ford Mondeo at 30mph (officer) as it turned right out of a junction. According to the witnesses I did a somersault over the bars but my only injuries are to the foot/leg that went into the front bumper so my aikido has taught me how to fall properly if nothing else.

Will post pics of the bike when I get it back from the recovery firm and if I can work out how to do it. I only had a quick glance before going off in the ambulance but i'm pretty sure it's dead. It went down on the left side, with the usual damage (the rearsets did well with just the pegs shearing off), then hit the kerb, flipping it over onto the right side, holing the sump and flattening the down pipe in the process.

I've no got a very swollen foot and a sore knee but no breaks so got off lightly methinks.

On the plus side it was well overdue a wash and the tank was nearly empty so no wasted effort/money in that department.

Now preparing myself for a lengthy ordeal with these insurance types i've been handing money over to for the last six years.

Like I said, got off lightly injury wise. Just hope the claim goes well, I'm only TPTF and the bike's in a sorry state.
