Default fly droppings?

the upper surfaces of my tank is covered in tiny spots which wont wash off or polish off but can be scratched off with a finger nail leaving no marks, i think its fly or spider droppings from the shed where the bike is stored is there some product to get this stuff off? or will something like meths remove it ? thanks

It's some shed if you can fit a tank in it - my shed only only big enough for a bike!

i think he means the petrol tank on his bike - not a tank like the army would use.

A clay bar will remove anything that's bonded onto you paint work. Maguires do a neat little kit with a detail spray and a clay bar but its not cheap. I use it on my car and bike a couple of times a year - you'd be amazed how much crap it removes even from freshly washed paintwork. i'm sure it would deal with a bit of spider poo.

Try a wet cloth left on the offending bits overnight. This soaks into the stubborn droppings and allows them to be washed off as normal without scratching the paint.
