Does it matter which exhaust you get. For instance CBR and YZF ( I know, neither are suzuki) end cans £50 difference for the same can, but is the £50 the only difference?
The reason i ask is I just bought new standard down pipes for my bike and the original end cans have the same diameter as the pipes, so does it matter what cans i put on the end? |

there are differences in the resistance/ back pressure between some and those developed for larger engines, but as long as it's the same approximate displacement you shouldn't have a problem.
Cheers Mark.

I have stuck a Viper can on my SV. I have noticed that i have lost at least 70%ish of engine breaking. Not sure if its a good or bad thing at the moment. but it has made a difference.

This depends on the bike and the manufacture. After looking for a can for my SV, Scorpion taylor the systems to the bike and the year of the bike. The SV K3 is a different animal to the K5 for instance, not just the link pipe (though this might just be the mounting bracket assy). When I spoke to them they said each was different and that thay are built to order. Hope this helps.
Some other ther makers use a generic can with different link pipes as already stated above |

Scorpion do a few different cans, and fit the ones that suit the bike best- but when I say "suit" I really mean "looks best". Likewise CCC and Blue Flame. Some companies do loads of different spec cans though, like with Leo Vince and Arrow where you get minro differences in length, diameter etc.
I say, sod it. It's a slipon, it's there to make noise not power. Just be aware it might need some work to make it actually fit ![]()
