Default Kate, show us your pipe please.

I have been searching the forum for advice on keeping my front pipe clean, and i noticed that Kate says she uses an alloy cleaner and gets a result as good as the rest us us only get after polishing with autosol.

So, Kate, may i see your down pipe please? They say seeing is believing. Oh - and what is the name of the stuff u use and where do i get it?

LOL, its a bit difficult as the SV was towed away last year. Thor also uses the stuff and I think I remember some pics a while ago which you could look up.

The stuff is Comma Alloy Wheel Cleaner

Spray it on the downpipe, wait and then wipe off Its powerful stuff so keep it away from your paintwork.

cool - thank Kate.

I'll get some next time I'm passing a halfords. In the mean time i might see if the autoglym wheel cleaner that i use on my car has the same results. I'll let everyone know if it works.

To be fair, we both have(had) aluminium full systems.

Stu you should be ashamed of yourself - that pipe is worse than e.d.'s

Hmm if Thor and Kate both had aluminum pipes I'm beginning to think i won't get the same result with this alloy cleaner. still I'll give it a try - its only 8 squids.

Looks like it's SS, with a Aluminium end can, (Here) so the cleaning stuff should work a treat then.
