The sv650 has a speed limiter at 190kph, it hits that at about 8000-9000 rpm in 5th gear.... kinda makes 6th gear useless.

Your bike may have a restricted ECU? It will need replacing. But the Sv's max speed is around 120 - 130mph anyway. Dont know if this helps?

Are you sure you've got an SV650?

My SV650 would be doing 9500 revs in 6th at 190KPH. I don't know how your's could only be doing 8-9000 in 5th! I reckon I would be doing at least the redline in 5th.

Even if you are doing only 8-9000 I don't know where your bike gets an extra 4000 revs. Mine would only have an extra 2-3000.

Maybe you should checkout the Gixxer forum?
