Default How do these prices compare?

Hi all,

Just been to my local garage and been quoted the following -

MOT £20
Service, including carb balance £100
Michelin RP2 Rear 160/60 Fitted and Balanced £120

I thought that was all quite cheap but would be interested if anyone in N Yorks can do better.

Naked Curvy 2000 btw

Cheers

Gordon

how much are the Michelin RP2 to buy? i got a road attack Fitted and Balanced for £80 (it would cost £69.99 + £5 postage to get one delivered)

but south wales is a bit out of your way?

i thought MOTs were a fixed price?

I think they're meant to be, but quite a few places will do them a bit cheaper just to undercut competition by a few quid and get your car/bike in their workshop where other work might be done (if "necessary".

This is one of those new fangled Road Pilots with the dual compound which is probably why its more expensive. They are £100inc delivered from Demon Tweeks

What is the 'fixed' price for an MOT, or rather, what should it be?
