Hey I won in Court today
I don't do much civil litigation but I have a few cases. One of them is a breach of contract claim by a letting company - I act for it. The former customers have hidden behind every procedural objection you can imagine, and brought a security for costs application - ie that the company should put money with the court cos if it eventually loses then the defendants wouldn't be able to endforce a costs award cos the company has no money. It was a telephone hearing this afternoon - I hate them cos you lose so much of the body language. Claim was based on out of date financial accounts, and company had unaudited management accounts showing a rosier picture.
Well I won. And I got an order for costs. Yippee!!!! One very happy client and one very happy me!!! Ed |
