When out yesterday on the scoot, with some proper bikes on just the kind of roads I would normally like, twisty "B's" to find the scoot can't handle them, frieghtning & scary, did the 100% comsentration thing in the morning, but just couldn't keep up, relaxed a bit more in the afternoon as I couldn't keep those levels up without crashing at some point (I tirer quickly), sharp fast corners are just beyond something without decent suspension, bakes, but of most importance is acceleration to pull the bike back on line, at least it showed I still had the bravery to ride to the limit if nothing else.
Anyway the point of this post, got up this morning and unlocked the bike (cable lock threw the front wheel) just before 6am, put my maps, clear visor and walking stick under the seat for going out at 9am, went back inside for breakfast, get changed and all that (takes me sometime to get ready), came out again at 8:30 and the thing's Gone!!!, some little scrot has pushed it away, off course I can't go walking around to look for it and the local police won't answer there phone (says 24 service on the website) so had to report it "online", which I must admit doesn't feel like I've done anything ![]() It's not the loss that bothers me, after all it's a couple of hundred quid and insured for £500, so I stand to make money, but the fact it's old & tatty, why would anyone want it, I didn't and it was mine !, still it does mean a loss of mobility for now, so back to the chair for me ![]() So legless of Norwood once again, ho hum ![]() Cheers Mark.

Candy from a baby, walking stick from a granny... scoot from a crippo.
Ooooooooh, if I could ******* get my hands on the ******* little **** I'd **** ******* **** *** ***** ******* **** and then **** ** ***** thier ***** ***** ** ******* ** ******** ** *** **** ****** to their *** **** *** and **** *** until their eyes bleed. And I'm a nice fluffy little hippy! Not cool. Not cool at all. May karma come swiftly round and bite them in the form of a suitably rabid hound. But at least your leg hasn't fallen off - which was my first worry on reading the title. ![]() Last edited by K; 07-05-07 at 09:11 AM. Reason: . |

Shame you could not have caught them in the act and beat them with your large sticks. Sorry to hear this Mark, hope you get something sorted soon.
Look on the brightside though, at least you street cred has gone up a few notches... ![]() |

I feel your pain Mark....being laid up is the worst thing ever especially in the summer with all the bikes hooning around!
As for the thieving scrotes.......theres nothing i can say on a u-rated forum, but in the end hopefully they will 'get theirs'. Is their anyone that lives close to you that can have a look around the local area...it may be stashed somewhere...if i could i would be there in a shot! At the end of the day it least it was insured and knowing you, you'll be back on 2 wheels in no time ![]() |

To be honest I'm really in two minds as to weather or not to claim for it, after all it's only a couple of hundred quid ? I've got enough with insurance stuff as it is, at the moment.
I won't be sorting out anything else as I'd planned to get the CB on the road for the 6th of June (insurance renewal time) and could really do without the hassle, just means a month of immobilityis all. Just put a downer on the morning.

Sign of the times this .
How about borrowing a scoot to tide you over? I bet there's one or two sitting in sheds that could be usefully employed for a few weeks? Anyone got one?
