Thumbs up Shiver down my spine

So, who has seen the new Aprilia Shiver in TWO? I know it was discussed some time ago, gut I think it looks superb. Unless something serious changes, pennies are being saved as of now for one. The review is only of a pre-sales test bike, albeit virtually fully signed off, and it apparently goes, stops and steers well. It has radial Brembo's and a fly by wire throttle.
At the end, the writer compares it with the SV (and bandit). He says the SV feels relatively slow and crude in comparison, but the 'prila is £1200 more cash.
The only downside is lack of wind protection, but I'm sure I remember the first concept pics having a half faired version.

Wow, looks good (i googled for a road test article). I'd certainly be interested in having one for my next bike

If I can't get a Tuono Factory...

I read somewhere on the interweb that there'll also be a faired version of the Shiver.

I know it might sound petty but I'd like to know what's in thoughs forks, and not to happy about the direct mount for the shock either, for an extra £1200 or so I'd want something decent, still looks nice and the engine (on passed reputation) should be a peach.

Cheers Mark.

Yeah, me too, I'd hope for cartridges. The brakes look like brembos though? If so then I guess some home for the forks is in order. I know it's nigh on impossible to tell from the photos but does the rake look a little shallow and cruiser-esque to anyone else? (may well just be me)

Edit: Duh, yep brembo brakes, erm, I'll learn to read one day

Its a nice looking bike for sure and if it is the same standard of build quality as the Tuono and RSV's it will be well received for that price. .

Here is a nice write up with the specs but no confirmation of the branded stuff. http://www.moto-newsblog.com/news/ap...0-shiver/1251/

Still the throttle management, braided lines, radial brakes etc seem to suggest a solid level of quality. 59lb ft of torque at 7000rpm. Interesting the twin only runs to 9000rpm - being 90degree must keep the RPM low??? Look forward to a Factory version next year
