Default Advice on street legal can

I'm after a street legal can.

Only because I'm after a bit of sound. The bike is fast enough I just don't like not hearing myself.

There is one on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUZUKI-SV650-S...QQcmdZViewItem

Price is fine just does anyone know if I would need to re jet? It says road legal but I've heard that before. If it's loud how can it be legal?

My point is if I have to re jet and then keep changing over because the "bizzies" say so, get my point.

I do know that if the effects are marginal, you can get away without a stage 2 if you can handle a bit fluffy popping on engine braking I just don't know too much about the so called "legal" cans.

shouldnt have to rejet with just a slip on. With the baffle in, the can is road legal. I dont know about carbon can co but with mine, removing an allen bolt makes the baffle slip out. It could be that its riveted in, or its spot welded. Either way, easy to sort and replace with allen bolt.

The can wont be legal once the baffle is out, but it will be louder.

Ive had my can on for 2 years and have had no trouble (with the baffle out). Panda's wont pull you for it because the majority of 24/7 dont know what theyre looking for. Traffic might, particularly in areas where they are looking to enforce this law. Ask Blue Pete or other traffic cops to see what their view is on them whilst at work.

I have never needed to rejet with CCC cans. They are well built pieces of kit from a company who understands good customer relations.

You would not regret buying a CCC can

Not to p*** on your bonfire but................

I have the exact same can on mine (debaffled as well, sounds gorgeous ), and it was dynoed and was showing as running as slightly rich iirc? The previous owner had bought some newer Mikuni jets that I eventually got around to fiiting. Wasn't too bad or difficult a job, but they were only one size (2.5 graduations is it?) below due to the almost same stoichiometric (sp) ratio that the dyno run gave. In a nutshell, you should be fine with the slip-on as has already been said, but it's not 100% spot on for ideal power/torque curves........ HTH

Spot on thanks..... I was all but certain that there would be some affect, but I'm not that concerned and if it's that annoying there is always a fix.

No probs, but I'll warn you; Once you hear the sound of the V-twin through this can, you'll never go IL4 again

I bought that exact can, and so far it has been perfect. The baffle is rivetted in, but it is plenty loud enough for me (not a show-off) so i have left it in. Looks great, sounds great, and when I rang the company they were very nice and helpful.

Here is a vid of my changeover

There is another one on there for 99 plus 7.50 fitting. Looks like the same can and it is from the same company.
