Default anti virus

my avast home edition 60 day free trail is going to run out soon, a freind said to delete it & just get it again.

or is there a better idea?

Hovis, there are a few free things that are worth using.

AVG Free anti virus is one
Zone Alarm is a firewall thats also very good.
Spybot Search And Destroy which is very good for checking spyware, make sure you get it from the right site though.

I use avast - when your trial runs out you can just request a (free) registration key on their website which lasts a year. No need to uninstall/delete the program itself.

I don't know TBH - I suppose they want people to register for it - but want to give them the opportunity to try it before forcing them to register?
