Default Unmarked police car - Tinted windows

Just a little note as it's a new one on me.
There was an unmarked V70 Estate on the A3 this morning. It had solid black tinted windows (all windows rear of the B pillar) Never seen that before. (It may not have been Traffic, but it was definitely police)

Actually top marks to the Saab driver who waved me down before I overtook him to warn me there was police ahead in a Volvo - But why do people think all motorcyclists ride like a bat out of hell?

Often, these type of cars are used as specialist pursuit cars. Traffic Cop driver with a dog handler and dog in the back. The window tints are usually to hekp keep the dog cool.

Was watching Traffic Cops (Hampshire I think) on BBC earlier this week, they were using a Skoda with automatic registration recognition system, it only appeared to read front plates tho'?? 60 plates a minute. Eeek!
