Love the idea but they'll really struggle to get "sports" power out of a single. Suspect 70 ponies will be a push regardless of capacity (as I doubt a starter motor will be able to crank a single bigger than about 800cc).

Anyhow, unofficial name seems to be RC4 (as in, half an RC8 ), brush up your french - http://moto.caradisiac.com/Photo-Du-...-Ca-tourne-736
If my schoolboy french is up there, claiming 65 chevaux (horsies) out of a 690 - although I think the KTM 690 engine is actually about 640cc? - and 148kg.

The MZ Scorpion was a similar concept (well, as sporty as an SV, minus about 30 horses) and was really underrated in my view.

Cagiva Mito 500 - was this still born or is it still in their plans? Brush up yer Italian - http://www.motoblog.it/post/4998/eic...agiva-mito-500

Because whilst french and italian are the languages of old empires, Chinese will be the language of the new world super power. Just don't mention Tiananmen Square, Taiwan, or the Dali Lama and you'll do fine in the new world order

EDIT: Oh, and probably best to stay away from their bikes for the time being too

Very interested in this one... The 690 motor made about 62bhp in the dirt bike, but there's always potential for changing the power distribution for other models. What should balance that out is weight though... They claim 152kg dry for the supermoto, but that's a physically pretty large bike. The Duke 3 is more or less confirmed now using that same motor in a road-biased chassis,so that should be a good indication.

Never owned a single... This might not be a bad place to start Might well join the shopping list along with the new Aprilia.

Yeah sounds like a wicked bike 150kgs and 70bhp they recon when retuned for more top end power. I have always liked the sound of the old single racing twins and this one must be a hoot to ride and throw around.
Cant wait to see it in production.
