Brake Light Spring
Hi all...
Another issue with the rebuilding! After finally starting to put the hanger back on, I've found a problem... The spring for the brake light has either stretched from the crash and I need a new one... And also... I'm not 100% sure where it should hook onto to know if it is stretched or not  This is what it looks like at the moment:  Has anyone got a picture of what it 'should' look like - as I can't find one in the Haynes Manual at all! The brake light spring fit's into the same hole as the return spring have you tried adjusting the switch height as it looks as if its well screwed down

That just looks normal to me... Maybe slightly bent, but not stretched. Apart from the fact that it's too long of course! So, like Davie says see if using hte adjustment helps. Also check the lever's in the same place, if you have it higher then the spring needs adjusting.
