Default Braided Brake Hoses

When you replace the front brake hoses on the SV650 do they get replaced with 2 full length hoses rather than the 1 long one and 1 short cross over the mud guard set up that is on there from stock.

If they are 2 full length hoses, do they snag anywhere on the way down or is any special tratment needed to keep them neat??

Thanks,
Dan

Depends on where you get them from and the kit you order, they are still clamped to the fork and then I would recommend securing them together half way up with cable ties.

I got my lines from HEL.

2 Kits are available, as Grinch said, two full length hoses, or one long and one short as per OE.

I got the two line kit, they were so long they comfortably sit round the front of the forks, and don't go tight when forks are extended. Again, cable ties up top to keep tidy!

You can do it any way you want really, you could even go with the OEM setup. I'm using a one-down-one-across now, just because I think it's a little neater.

Have always preferred the 2 line approach personally.

Please don't use a cable-tie though! At least spend a couple of quid and get a proper line clamp!!!

I regret going for the two full length lines as no matter how I route them they rub paint off the top of the front mudgaurd. It doesn't help that HEL has a fixation with making the lines a little on the generous side length wise.
