Hi, I'm not sure if I am posting my question at the right place but here goes. I have bought a SV650S K6, and have put 326 miles on it. Over the past week or so I have noticed that if I shift to neutral at a stop, then sometimes shifting it back to 1st gear takes several tries
![]() By the way, I still have kept my max rpms usually below 5000 and on occassion have gone to a max of 6000. Thanks, |

its probably happend to all of us on here at least 5 times lol, feels like it doesnt want to drop in doesnt it... normally ends up with a nice KU-CHUNK sort of noise? youll get used to it, just do what the fellas above have said and it gets less and less, with 300+ miles your bike i doubt something is wrong, just dont RAG it! i actually found a running in part in the manual??? didnt know they had one..

Thank you all; one other question related to gears; and bear with me, I'm new at riding. When I press the clutch while the gear is neutral and when I don't have the clutch pressed while the gear is in neutral, the sound is different in both the scenarios. In case of clutch not pressed/neutral, the sound of the engine/gears is almost like it is closer to being engaged. Is this sound difference normal? I thought that the gears would be just as same in terms of position for both scenarios. Should I be worried about this?
Thanks, |

Judging by your avatar you appear to be a little on the shorter side of normal. I'd wait until those itty bitty little legs of yours can reach the gear lever properly before trying to ride your bike, or get your dad to sit on the back and do the gears for you while you steer.

Yep they all do that (bikes). Re. getting it into first, these type of gearboxes only work properly when the back wheel is turning, so if you relly struggle, roll it back acoupel of inches and try again.
