Default Sprockets & chain for faired 650K3.

Going for 15,000 mile service at the dealer (Cupar) shortly.
Needing to replace the sprockets & chain.

Any recommendations for which type & what is the differences between X ring & O ring chains? Any advantage of one over the other?

Might even do it myself if it's easy??????????

Thanks,

Go for the Suzuki chain and sprocket set. Maybe for the naked bike as this will give you a little more acceleration for a very ,if any, minimal loss of top speed.

If it's a 15thou service they will hopefully drop out the swing arm for a regrease so the labour charge shouldn't be a lot more, as the Suzuki chain is endless. Saves you having to buy a chain link tool, which you'll need to put on a new chain.

No meaning to sound like a cynic or anything, but I'd imagine not all garages will drop the swing arm for the 15k, may be worth asking them beforehand so they don't try and charge you an extra couple of hours labour

That said the man's spot on, if they're doing it anyway, may as well fit an endless chain. If not, a rivet link chain's just fine
