Default my bike won't start

I am having a problem with my bike. It just wont start.

I charged the battery to full. everything works, the lights everything. but when i try to start my bike a "dhut" sound comes and everything dies. i just can't figure out what the problem is. if anyone could explain it to me I would be very thankful.

Thank you

Got a multimeter and a haynes manual? Then you can test the circuit for any problems?

I'm not electrically minded, so I can't offer any better advice than this A haynes manaul will guitde you through everything and tell you what everything should be though

What model is it? Is it alarmed?

Ah! he's got a point. Alarmed and imobilised? They always throw up problems. Chuck it out and get an alarmed disc lock, if you have an alarm / imobiliser combo thingy

Loose battery terminals? The phutt noise could be the wires coming adrift from the terminal when you apply current to start it up.

its not alarmed. the bike fell off when it was parked and the clutch lever broke so i replaced it. now the bike won't start. I tried surfing the site and found out something about clutch sensor. but don't know where its located. if anyone can point out i'll check on that too.

The clutch cut-out switch is located near the pivot point of the clutch lever itself, I think?
