Ok, I know that there is no standard set up as such, but, I have no idea what to do to set the bike up for me. Being 6ft, and erm 16 stone (all toned muscle of course...not!), is there any guide to what I might look for. I have noticed over an uneven road it does bounce a bit, it's ok round corners (not that I'm that competent at corners, wish I was) Just looking for some advice really.

I got told as a rough rule to set up the rear suspension on a bike you should:
1- stand the bike upright. 2- measure from the bottom of the number plate to the floor. 3- sit on the bike 4- measure the distance from the bottom of the number plate to the floor the difference should be around 30mm, if its not then the suspension needs to be tweeked. (obviously you will need someone to help you do this) |
