Some help please. I have fitted some renthal ultralows to my z750 and I'm not happy with them. The dimentions are here
http://www.renthal.com/application_result.asp?type=34 They are the right height but could be a little wider, the real problem is that they are slightly to swept (dimention E on the link), I have tired adjusting them many times but they are just not comfotable round really tight turns. Its quite a heavy bike and needs some turning at lower speed. I sat on a ducati hypermoto and the bars much more like what i want, just to wide. Do anyone know of any maufactuers that make bars similar to the ultralows just slightly wider and straighter. I dont want to go for full MX bars because they are higher and I reckon make filtering more difficult, I was watching my mate stuggle in london on a hornet with MX bars. Many thanks for any advice |

Do you mean they are angled too much into the tank, thus putting your wrists at an awkward position?
If it's just a little adjustment, couldn't you put them (the bars not your wrists, lol) in a vise and tweek the angle on each side? |

The angle thing is what I mean. Renthal however put a strongly warning against doing this. I'm a bit woried that the bars may have been treating and may break, or the paint work would be ruined. Have you done this before?

Likely not to do the finish a lot of good.
However, if I was going to do it, I'd do it with the gas torch on it, that way you can be sure it will bend where you want it and not be left brittle (IMO best not to quench handlebars, as the also decreases fatigue life)
