From one dominating Aussie to another...and boy was this one uncompromising!

![]() ![]() That sort of racing is what I've missed from MotoGP this year. Apart from the first couple fo rounds where Casey and Rossi went head to head, the racing has been a bit poor. It seems like the place swapping has been dominated by people going forwards or backwards due to tyres and there hasn't been the sustained action like last year. i.e. Rossi and Capirossi's battles. Still, fair pay to Stoner. He is a great rider. Just wish he'd let the others look like they're in with a chance before clearing off with two laps to go! ![]()

My sentiments exactly. That youtube video had me on the edge of my seat, specialy the racing from Eastern Creek. Bring back the 2-smokers (they run very clean on 90% ethanol, apparently) and throw away the electronics. Notice how casey said he didnt get pole because the electronics didnt work so well on the bumpy braking sections?

I agree. IMO, although MotoGP should be the pinnacle of motorsport technology, TC and launch control have no place in racing. We're not talking incredibly peaky 500's with lightswitch power bands any more so I don't see that there isa safety implication. It's all about making it easier to go quicker. I reckon that should be down to the rider.
Remember the 1st and 2nd seasons of MotoGP? Sideways action and tyre smoke everywhere, that was entertainment. Even in a race when there wasn't much place swapping at least you could sit and be amazed at McCoy etc broadsliding round corners.
