Shoei Raid 2, is this a good price?

These seem reasoable to me at £156 delivered. But would I be better waiting until the show?

Um...bit iffy personally about ordering helmets through the post. You dont know how its handled and its not so easy to return...

Have you looked at other prices from toher shops?

It does seem to be a good price though from what I've seen so far, the next cheapest I've found is £180.

I know the Raid 2 is an ok helmet but I've read comments by people that say they're shaped to fit a particular head shape, so I'll probably wait until the show.

Yea, its good to try on diff helmets. I wanted a Shoei kagayama rep, but my head wouldnt fit right

Price looks pretty good - I take it you are looking at solid colours for that price? I got mine from BCT motorcycles - they seemed to have the best prices when I was looking. I got mine online (XR1000) as the prices in shops were a lot higher than the net....if its only a few quid I don't mind, but I ended up saving over £100...edit - just looked, they have the Raid for £180, but the XR1000 for £192...seems worth the extra 12 quid to me...

Just one thing tho Alpinestarhero - don't know if bikeshops are different in your neck o't woods, but ones round here dont let you return the helmets once you have bought them anyway...

I would make sure you are happy with the fit in the shop, see how much you can barter them down by (my local shop will easily give a 10% discount just for asking). If the price isnt too good, then buy online...

Bought my last lid online, came wrapped in bubblewrap in a helmet box which was wrapped in more bubble wrap and inside another box.

buy it at the show. Ordering offline for something that you want, neh, NEED to fit correctly could be a bit of false move.
I tried on lots at a shop and decided on a Shoei Kagayama, Fitted me fine, Arai didn't do it for me, neither Caberg. It is definatley a TRY ON AND SEE thing with Helmets as I'm sure you know.
