Pick up a pattern one new on ebay for about £35 IIRC, same as the SRAD one if that's any help

thanks er key sometimes won't turn and doesn't operate steering lock either you have to do it a precise way but will have a look at the ones you mentioned too cheers

Get some oil down the keyhole and anywhere else it will go around the lock barrell first.They can be tempermental but sometime some lube fixes it.

will give it a go gotta look at thewiring too think its been trapped in the steeringlock at some point and speedo needle keeps bouncing about but i'm still really chuffed can't believe how quickly i've fallen in love

Mines a little bit worn too, you have to push the key forward slightly on turning it, when you do that its fine.
The speedo bouncing is a sign theres a wire damaged, if not the speedo signal then the live to the clocks.
