Are you aware that he has threatened Yamaha, that if they dont shape up next season,he is off to Ducati! He reckons he still has a great relationship with Honda,(this I doubt) and an even better one with the Bologna factory.

Who would they get rid of to facilitate his joining the team? Would they run a 1 bike satelite team but with all the top bits included?

Rossi has indicated a definite interest in riding a Ducati in 2009.

(Or is he just a pussy trying to regain his glory. Insists on Bridgestones for next year, then gonna insist on the BEST bike the year after)

he is THE best and in his situation he can ask and he will get (like the bridgestones)
I'd say he's got to ride for ducati at some stage in his career.

yeah i think he will ride for Ducati as his final team before retiring maybe, an italian on an italian bike winning the title.

Ducati would put one of their current factory riders in the satalite team to make way for Rossi, and the underperforming rider in the satalite team can sling his hook!

It would be a great combination, however rossi said he wouldnt join ducati when he left honda because ducati have a similar work ethic to honda i.e. we build the bike, you ride it. You dont get to say how it should be built, just tell us if what we have is good or not

Rossi didnt like that ethic of honda, hence why he left to go to yamaha who said to him "we'll build the bike how you say, if something is wrong you tell us what we can do"

Not really that great a tribute, but those shots of him backing it to those bends at sort of Colin McRae angles never fails to get a Jeeeeesus out of me.


And the shot of the rumble strips inches away, hurtling past his gloves. That's always a good one too.
