Any good?
I've got Pilot Road 2s on my Triumph, which I've been very happy with. Now the SV needs new boots and I've found the Pilot Sports at 127 quid a pair. Just wondering if they're much cop - my riding is 15 miles each way of fairly fast paced A-road commuting, with a bit of town work at each end. The bike gets used every day, come rain or shine, snow or drought. I'm not too worried about the life span given the price, but good grip is a must, especially in the wet. |

Good evening.
I've supplied a fair few pairs, usually at the customers request. The reports are favourable, considering the price. Cheers. |

Morning all.
I've just been perusing my tyre catalogue. The old Pilot Roads are are about another £18 from my supplier. They would probably be more suitable for all weather use, & would last longer too, which would somewhat offset the difference in price. If the supplier you're using could supply them at say another £20 they would be a better bet I think. They are one of the better selling sports touring tyres, below the Road Attack & the BT020. & are still very popular. Cheers. |

I have them on my curvy. my mate has them on his R1 and my other mate has them on his R6. Best tyre i have ever had. wouldn't buy anything else. The extra confidence they gave me after changing from Dunlop 208's was fantastic

Before I got my PR2s, which I am very pleased with, I had Pilot Roads. They flattened off much too quick for my liking. Done 5000+ so far on the PR2s and no flat at all. Maybe it's cos I avoid Mways now..

Well, my tyre supplier didn't have a rear to suit, so on the advice of my ex-girlfriend I ended up with Diablo Stradas. They can't be all that bad, she was doing this kind of thing on them when she had Stradas on her Daytona 600:

Your on about pilot roads. Pilot sports are a totaly different tyre. Pilot sports are a soft-medium compound sports tyre that give you exceptional grip in the dry and good grip in the wet. Pilot roads are more of a touring tyre. Pilot sport will wear down quicker than pilot road as thats what they are designed to do. but it all depends on how you ride your bike to what tyre you get. i.e sports bike sports tyre, touring bike touring tyre.
