Usage (legal jargon, probably unnecessary but you never know)

Users and visitors use this forum with the knowledge that any advice, technical solutions or suggestions from any user will be undertaken at their own risk and that Users, Management, Administration and all involved in the running and upkeep of the SV650.org website and forums will not be held liable for any form of damages either jointly or severally. Browsing this forum is taken as consent to these terms and conditions.

Avatars

Avatars must conform to the new specifications that allow images to be used for a User's Avatar to be no more than 120 pixels in width and 120 pixels in depth - this is to ensure that the table layout remains in correct proportion to facilitate easy reading of forum posts The image file size should be no more than 25k which will help to assist those users still on a dial-up connection. Would you also be kind enough to ensure that your Avatar is suitable to be viewed by juveniles as over-explicit images (although appreciated by some members of this community) won't be suitable for all. Your understanding is appreciated.

Signatures

Text is fine though wherever possible please try and keep it to single lines. Images have been considered but decided against so please do not include an image in your signature as this increases the overhead of the page file size (again thinking of dial-up users) and also it makes it harder for users to read individual posts.

Posts

Please ensure wherever possible to post to the correct section in the forum as this makes it easier for other users to find relevant posts which will assist you in sensible replies. Where a mistake has been made a Moderator may well politely move your post to the appropriate section and your understanding is appreciated.

While this forum is primarily about the SV650 (and 1000), a wonderful community has developed over the last twelve months. We are most happy to have members from all walks of the biking community, not just SVs and for the benefit of all users could posts in sections such as "Idle Banter" be kept to short and purposeful posts which will have the benefits of maintaining interest and keeping the load down on the server that currently hosts this forum. This should ensure all users benefit in the long-term.

Profanities

While the occasional thread becomes somewhat heated, would users please refrain from bad language wherever possible and if absolutely necessary "mask" certain profanities with asterisks.

Your help and assistance with all the above points is deeply appreciated and should be for the benefit for all users. Many thanks.

U Rating
For those of you who don't know or are unsure of what U rating means. Please respect this it helps keep the site work safe. Anything that is deemed to be Non U rated will be removed.

A point to remember is that if we deem that your are "pushing the envelope" your posts may well also be removed.

Thanks Admin and Moderators.
