Damn, I need to buy a set of leathers now, should have thought about this.

I've got a jacket you could use if you can find some trousers. It's very fitted on me so should be ok on you.

I'm thinking of taking the crown for slowest orger in this particular group if I can afford the day, the petrol and the inevitable new back tyre.

Do you lot get insurance?

i dont, gives me that little bit more incentive not to bin it you see ;)

And i didn't need a new tyre just cos of the trackday mate. Unless your's is already low dont worry about it. Mines due to be changed soon so i'l have a very new tyre in time for this. yay.

I'm seriously considering it. I got a quote from these guys:

http://www.pitandpaddock.com/trackday_insurance.asp

and it came out at £90 covering the plastics too.

Nope, it's £250 which is pretty good. I don't think they cover helmets and leathers though.

B&B options

Okay people, here's what we're looking at...

We need: 6 rooms
1. Me
2. Zombie J
3. Spideyman & Monkeyman
4. Demonz & Lucas
5. mr & mrs anderson
6. Bendy couple

If we all want to stay in the same place:

Thistle Hotel (at the circuit)
http://www.thistle.com/hotels/dartford/rooms/
Singles - £85
Twins - £47.50 per person
Doubles - £47.50 per person

These are 'advance' prices and have to be paid in full at time of booking and are non-refundable. It's about an extra £10 for a 'non-special' rate. I'm happy to book it all on my credit card, but I'll need reimbursing straight away.

Advantages - we can all have brekky etc together; it's in the grounds of the circuit; if other orgers want to book too then this shouldn't be a problem as it's a large hotel; I'm happy to call them to try and negotiate them down a bit as it's a 'group' booking.

Disadvantages - the most expensive option.

If we're happy to split into a couple of groups:

The Rising Sun pub (Fawkham - about 0.5 mile from Brands)
http://www.risingsun-fawkham.co.uk/b...breakfast.html

3 x twins - £50 single occ / £32.50 pp double occ
2 x doubles - £55 single occ / £37.50 pp double occ

Black horse pub (Stansted - no, not that one - about 3 miles from Brands)
http://www.pub-explorer.com/olpg/the...sted/index.htm
1 x twin - £45 single occ / £32.50 pp double occ
1 x double - £45 single occ / £32.50 pp double occ
1 x triple (double & single) - £45 single occ / £32.50 pp double occ / £25 pp triple occ

Advantages & disadvantages - the opposite of the ones above :D.

I did look at other B&Bs, but they're either a bit too far away or they're already booked.

I'm happy to go with either option, so let me know what y'all think!
